Petite Street Illustrations

Writer, illustrator and digital editor Tiffany Loh, who previously worked at digital publisher Yahoo!7 and some of Australia’s leading fashion and lifestyle mastheads including Harper’s BAZAAR and Grazia has started Petite Street, a blog full of illustrations celebrating the little things in life. So when we discovered that Tiffany Loh chose to recreate our Raw bralette we just had to share the images and her story with you.

What was the inspiration behind starting Petite Street? Being vertically challenged it can be hard to find clothing and accessories that fit properly so I started petite street to share my fun-sized discoveries.

What makes an accessory or a piece of clothing worth illustrating? In every illustration or GIF I create I try to feature products that celebrate little things in life. I look out for intricate details, items that don’t overwhelm small frames, and take in interesting social observations.

What are some of your favourite spots in Sydney? On a beautiful day I love going to Balmoral Beach for a dip followed by a picnic on the island. I can watch the sailboats pass and the waves crash for hours – it’s such a serene view and one that’s definitely worth making your way across the Harbour Bridge.

Listening to… The Triple J hit list is what I mostly listen to to discover new music. I use it to build my own playlist of favourites.

What are you currently reading? A colleague recently recommended Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg’s book, Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead. I’m only a few chapters in but I’m enjoying reading Sheryl’s workplace anecdotes and her harsh realities of women in the workplace.
