On Friday the 1st of May we collaborated with other local brands to put on a show for renowned, local make-up artist Ashlea Penfold. She has worked with some of Australia’s most exciting emerging labels and models. Everyone she works with values her positive and generous nature on set and have flocked together to lend a helping hand in her family’s time of need.
Ashlea’s husband Matt Penfold was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s disease in recent months and is currently undergoing chemotherapy and their 5 year old son Cove has ongoing medical costs for Autism. The funds raised have gone towards assisting the Penfold family in paying for medical relief and personal bills to help alleviate the stress during this time.
We are so proud to say that a whopping $30 000 was raised, 5% of those proceeds being donated to The Autism Treatment Centre of America at the request of the Penfold family.
A host of brands were involved, including: Spell, Amilita, Fallen Broken Street, Thrills, Afends, Marho, Meeshka, Goddess of Babylon, Temple of the Sun, St. Agni, Rhythm Girls, Billabong Girls and Rowie Design.
Special thanks to the organisers Marisa Sidoti and Sybil Steele and The Farm at Byron Bay where the event was held.
Despite the torrential weather on the night, everybody pulled through and produced a wonderful show for the 400+ guests.
